The Macallan Classic Cut 2018 Edition is a single malt from Speyside, the second release in the Classic Cut annual series. It was created by whisky maker Ian Morrison and bottled at 51.2% ABV.
The whisky was matured exclusively in sherry oak casks, which give it depth, warmth and sweetness.
The nose offers bright citrus, sweet vanilla and hints of oak spice. On the palate, sweetness leads, with orange zest, creamy vanilla, warm spices and a rich sherry character. The finish is long and dry, led by oak, with lingering spice and a little sweetness.
