The Macallan – Classic Cut 2019 Edition (70cl, 52.9%)

The Macallan Classic Cut 2019 is the third edition in an annual limited series of Highland single malt. It is bottled at 52.9% in a 70cl bottle. Whisky Maker Polly Logan chose that strength to bring out a dominant sweetness and well balanced flavours. Letting the whisky stand in the glass for 10 to 15 minutes brings forward orange, sweet ginger and vanilla. The colour is antique gold. The nose offers orange zest, ginger and nutmeg with sultana and a hint of hazelnut. The palate is sweet ginger and orange zest with gentle oak spice, and the finish is medium sweet with a lingering honey note.
