The Macallan Classic Cut 2020 is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at the higher strength of 55% ABV.
This edition uses a larger share of ex-bourbon American oak casks alongside the distillery's sherry-seasoned European oak, setting sweet vanilla against rich dried fruit. On the palate the strength brings out oak tannin, candied orange peel and warm baking spices.
The nose offers vanilla bean, ginger, orange zest, sweet oak and a touch of marzipan. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with lemon curd, toasted coconut, nutmeg and honeyed oak. The finish is long and warming, with oak tannin, sweet citrus oil and delicate spice.
