The 2022 Edition of Macallan Classic Cut is a limited edition single malt in a 70cl bottle at 52.5% ABV. The whisky was made by Steven Bremner.
It was matured in a combination of casks made from two types of wood, giving both European and American oak influence. The colour is golden butterscotch, and grapefruit is the flavour most clearly marked.
The nose is a fresh medley of grapefruit, peach, apple and orange, with vanilla sponge, oak, light spice, fruit blossom and almonds. On the palate come fresh fruit, caramel, a wisp of chocolate, lemon sponge and nuts. The finish is sweet and creamy with warming spice.
