The 2023 edition of Macallan Classic Cut is a cask strength single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 50.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in a mix of ex-Bourbon American oak casks and sherry seasoned European oak casks.
At full strength, pear is the prominent character of the spirit. Adding a measure of water to bring it down to around 40% brings almond biscotti forward as the keynote.
