The Macallan – Classic Cut Limited Edition 2019 (70cl, 52.9%)

The Macallan Classic Cut 2019 Edition is the third release in an annual limited series of single malts, in a 70cl bottle. It is bottled at 52.9% ABV, a strength Whisky Maker Polly Logan chose to show the whisky's dominant sweetness and well balanced flavours. Letting it breathe in the glass for 10 to 15 minutes brings orange, sweet ginger and vanilla to the fore. The nose offers orange zest with ginger and nutmeg, balanced by sultana and a hint of hazelnut. On the palate, sweet ginger and orange zest meet gentle oak spice, and the finish is medium sweet with a lingering honey note.
