The Macallan Classic Cut 2020 is a limited edition single malt, bottled at 55% in a 70cl bottle.
It is part of a series that offers a different flavour experience each year. For the first time, the Whisky Mastery Team was free to explore the distillery's different cask types. Whisky Maker Polly Logan combined sherry seasoned European oak casks with ex-bourbon American oak casks. The colour is sunlit straw.
The nose brings vanilla, candied orange peel, honey, sultana, raisin, fresh oak and thyme. The palate is ginger, sweet orange, vanilla and honey, and the finish is sweet and zingy, with lingering thyme.
