This is the third and final release in The Macallan's Concept Series, launched in 2021 for global travel retail. It is a limited edition made with the graphic designer David Carson and Macallan Whisky Maker Polly Logan, drawing on the Speyside estate. It is bottled at 40.8% ABV.
The whisky was matured in first-fill sherry butts, ex-bourbon barrels, and refill and virgin American oak casks. The nose has fresh pear, apricot, vanilla and sweet citrus with cinnamon and ginger. The palate is creamy, with orchard fruits, gentle oak spice and delicate herbal notes, and the medium-sweet finish carries soft pastry and warming spice.
