This is an 18 year old single malt from The Macallan, the 2022 release of its Double Cask, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in sherry seasoned oak casks from both America and Europe.
The American oak adds delicate vanilla, while the European oak brings a subtle spice, giving a sweeter, warmer character. The whisky has a golden colour.
The key flavours are treacle toffee, sweet ginger, dried fruits and nutmeg.
