The Macallan Double Cask 18 Year Old is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. This is the 2025 release of an annual bottling.
It is matured for 18 years in sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks. The European oak contributes dried fruit and warming spice, while the American oak adds creamy vanilla and sweet citrus.
The nose has dried fruits, toffee, candied citrus peel, ginger and nutmeg. The palate brings raisins, sultanas, dried apricots, treacle toffee, vanilla and warming spice. The finish is long and warming, with sweet ginger, dried fruit and delicate oak.
