The first release in The Macallan's Edition Series, a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle at 48% ABV. It draws on the distillery's oak cask management, and is a combination of whisky from eight styles and sizes of sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks.
The colour is honey. The nose has orange, apple and dried fruit. The palate is slow to open, with warming wood spices, nutmeg, cinnamon, dried ginger and toffee, and fresh, balanced fruit comes later alongside fresh oak. The finish is medium to long and lingering.
