The Macallan – Edition No. 1 (70cl, 48%)

The Macallan Edition No. 1 is the first expression in the Macallan Edition Series, a Speyside single malt bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It reflects the distillery's oak cask policy, which covers everything from sourcing the wood to the finished, seasoned cask. The whisky is drawn from eight styles and sizes of sherry-seasoned European and American oak, combined to make a rich, multidimensional malt. Each cask style contributes to the whole, and the flavour moves from soft oak notes to deeper, richer ones.
