The Macallan Edition No. 4 is the fourth release in the Edition range, bottled at 48.4% in a 70cl bottle. It celebrates the opening of Macallan's new distillery and focuses on the structure of the distillery's weighty house style.
The whisky is built from a selection of casks: European and American oak refill butts and hogsheads, along with butts, puncheons and hogsheads from the cooperages Vasmya, Diego Martin, Jose y Miguel Martin and Tevasa. Each cask type contributes to a well-balanced dram.
