The Macallan – Edition No. 5 (70cl)

The Macallan Edition No. 5 is a single malt Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle, made as a tribute to the natural colour of Macallan whiskies. All Macallan whisky is of natural colour, and this edition celebrates that and the whisky-making process behind it. It was created in collaboration with the colour specialists of the Pantone Color Institute, who developed a distinctive purple shade, a blend of red and blue, that appears on the packaging. The nose is vanilla and toffee with oak, nutmeg, ginger, lemon basil and pear. The palate is fresh and sweet, with caramel turning to poached peaches and ripe pear, then toffee with light oak spice. The finish is long and sweet.
