The Macallan – Enigma Quest Collection Travel Exclusive (70cl, 44.9%)

This is The Macallan Enigma, a single malt bottled at 44.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle and made exclusively for travellers. It is the final expression in The Macallan Quest Collection, a range that moves from fresh and vibrant to rich and intense. The whisky was aged in sherry seasoned oak casks from a single cooperage in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. Its colour is likened to a Spanish sunset. On the nose, mature oak gives way to dried fruits, vanilla, sweet pears and cinnamon. Dried fruits and wood spices coat the palate, with ginger, cinnamon and oak adding depth, and the finish is long and lingering.
