The Macallan – Harmony Collection Phoenix Honey Orchid Tea (70cl, 43.9%)

The Macallan Harmony Collection Phoenix Honey Orchid Tea is a single malt inspired by Phoenix Honey Orchid, a tea from JING with dessert wine aromas and exotic fruit notes. It is a collaboration between The Macallan and JING Tea, bottled at 43.9% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured mainly in sherry-seasoned American oak, which brings fruity and floral flavours. Sherry-seasoned European oak adds roasted richness and a touch of astringency, and a subtle addition of ex-bourbon casks brings sweetness. Its colour is warm honey. Peach, apricot and floral honey lead the nose, with tropical fruit, toffee and sweet oak. The palate has peaches in syrup, warm citrus and toffee, ending in a delicate leafy astringency. The finish is fruity, sweet and complex.
