A limited edition single malt from The Macallan, and the first release in a new annual series.
It came from a collaboration between Macallan whisky maker Polly Logan and the pastry chef Jordi Roca of the three-Michelin-star restaurant El Celler de Can Roca. Polly travelled to Girona in Spain to explore chocolate making and flavour profiles at Casa Cacao, working with Roca and with master chocolatier Damien Allsop.
The whisky is made from a combination of European and American oak casks.
