The Macallan Litha is a Speyside single malt bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The name Litha means light and the celebration of summer in ancient Gaelic.
It is matured exclusively in first-fill, sherry-seasoned European oak casks selected in Jerez, Spain.
The nose is typically described as dried fruit, orange peel, vanilla and gentle oak spice, with honey, toffee and warm pastry. On the palate it is silky and rounded, with sultana, apricot, cinnamon and caramelised sugar. The finish is long and warming, with sweet spice, oak and light citrus zest.
