The Macallan M Copper 2024 Release is a single malt from the Macallan M Collection, bottled at 42% ABV. It pays tribute to the distillery's Curiously Small Stills, which are designed to give the spirit maximum contact with copper.
The sherry character is less dominant than in the other M releases, leaving room for fruit. The colour is a natural spun gold, and the bottle comes in a copper-coloured Lalique crystal decanter.
The nose is ripe pear, juicy peach, a hint of red apple and buttery vanilla, with orange peel and linseed oil. The palate is pear and peach with light tropical fruit, vanilla cake and a touch of leather. The finish is long, with toasted oak, fruit and a waxy texture.
