The Macallan Rare Cask 2022 Release (43%)

This is the 2022 release of The Macallan Rare Cask, a single malt bottled at 43% ABV. It is made from sherry-seasoned oak casks picked out by The Macallan Whisky Mastery Team, who chose casks that stood out among those maturing in the warehouses. The casks were selected by the Master of Wood. The nose shows vanilla rich in raisin, followed by fresh apple, lemon and orange. On the palate an intense sweet raisin leads to vanilla and dark chocolate, with layers of light citrus peel. The finish is long, rich and velvety.
