This is the first of three Macallan Rare Cask batches released in 2018, a distillery bottling at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Each batch is created from a vatting of 50 sherry butts.
The master distiller describes the whisky as one of the most complex yet balanced Macallan whiskies, with soft notes of rich oak, vanilla and chocolate.
