The Macallan Rare Cask is a limited edition single malt from the Speyside distillery, presented in a 70cl bottle.
It is matured in sherry-seasoned casks of both American and European oak, picked by hand from only about 1% of the casks maturing at Macallan. The result is a whisky with a distinctly woody character and a very rich colour.
The nose is sweet and soft, with vanilla, raisin, apple, lemon and orange. On the palate it brings raisin, dark chocolate, vanilla and citrus.
