The Macallan Sherry Oak 18 Year Old, in its 2022 release, is a Speyside single malt from the Sherry Oak series. It was matured for 18 years entirely in oak casks seasoned with Oloroso sherry from Jerez, Spain, and has a light mahogany natural colour.
Ripe oak, ginger and raisins lead its character. Macallan has been established since 1824.
The nose offers dried fruit and ginger with touches of vanilla and cinnamon. The palate is soft and rich, with spice, cloves, orange and toasted oak. The finish lingers with dried fruit, ginger and orange peel.
