This is a 25 year old single malt Scotch whisky from Macallan, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. It belongs to the Sherry Oak Collection, a series of malts matured in hand-picked, sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez.
The nose offers dried orange slices, raisins, sultanas and apricot, with ginger syrup and oak. On the palate are rich dried fruits, black cherries and chocolate, with crystallised ginger and toasted almonds. The finish is long, with dried fruits, dark chocolate and oak.
