The Macallan Sherry Oak 30 Years Old is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 43% ABV.
It spent 30 years maturing in oak casks seasoned with Oloroso sherry from Jerez. Each cask is chosen by The Macallan's Master of Wood for the deep colour and complexity it gives the whisky.
The nose brings dried fruit, dark chocolate, orange peel and polished oak, with cinnamon and clove. On the palate there are figs, dates and vanilla, balanced by nutmeg and oak. The finish is long and warm, with soft spice, cocoa and lingering sherry.
