A 12 year old single malt from The Macallan in Speyside, matured entirely in sherry-seasoned European oak casks from Jerez.
The sherry oak shapes its character throughout, with dried fruit, ginger and oak spice running from nose to finish.
On the nose there are raisins, sultanas, candied citrus peel and orange oil. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with ginger syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg and a gently tannic grip. The finish is long and warming, led by spice, oak and dried fruit sweetness.
