The Macallan – The Harmony Collection Guardian Oak Limited Edition (70cl, 44%)

The Macallan Guardian Oak belongs to The Harmony Collection, a limited-edition Speyside single malt bottled at 44% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in sherry-seasoned oak casks made from both American and European oak, and the release takes its inspiration from the oak trees of the Macallan estate. The nose combines toasted oak, cocoa and dried figs with honeyed vanilla and a little cinnamon. On the palate there are caramelised nuts, spiced fruit and dark chocolate, with gentle wood tannins. The finish is long, with sherry richness, oak spice and lingering cocoa.
