Vibrant Oak is a limited edition single malt from The Macallan, part of its Harmony Collection, bottled at 44% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The release is themed around the vitality of oak and the trees that become casks.
The whisky was matured in a combination of sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks. It comes in packaging made from natural materials.
The nose brings citrus zest, vanilla pod and oak spice, with golden raisin and freshly baked brioche. On the palate there are honeyed nuts, dried fruits and warm toffee alongside orange peel and clove. The finish is long and gently warming, with sweet oak, soft spice and a little cocoa.
