The Macallan TIME : SPACE Mastery is a Speyside single malt made for the distillery's 200th anniversary, in a 70cl bottle at 43.6% ABV.
It draws on 14 cask types, including sherry-seasoned European and American oak, virgin American oak and refill casks, with sherry-seasoned European oak at the heart of the blend. It comes in a circular decanter inside a red case with 200 spikes, one for each year of the distillery's history.
The nose offers Medjool dates, baked figs, milk chocolate, honey and dried mango. The palate brings dried fruits, marmalade, honeycomb, ginger and cinnamon, and the finish carries caramelised pineapple, vanilla, dark chocolate and coffee.
