The Macallan Triple Cask Matured 18 Year Old is a Scotch single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 43%. It was matured for eighteen years in three types of cask: European oak seasoned with sherry, American oak seasoned with sherry, and American oak bourbon casks.
The nose brings dried fruit, citrus zest, vanilla, polished oak, gentle spice, toffee and a little cocoa. On the palate there are sultanas, orange peel, creamy vanilla, warm spice and oak. The finish is long and warming, with dried fruit, soft oak spice and a gentle sweetness.
