The Matsui Sakura Cask is a Japanese whisky from the Matsui range, matured with Sakura, or Japanese cherry wood. Cherry wood is an unusual influence, and it sets this bottling apart from whiskies matured in more familiar cask styles. It gives an aromatic profile of fruit and floral nuances with gentle spice, alongside vanilla and woody notes.
