The Pogues Irish Single Malt is a triple-distilled whiskey made by West Cork Distillers and developed by Frank McHardy. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle, without added colour.
It is matured in former bourbon casks, which give it nutty, toasted notes and sweetness alongside restrained wood spice.
The nose has roasted nuts, crunchy caramel and chocolate-covered peanuts, with a faint hint of violet sweets. On the palate, light wood spice and cinnamon lead to sesame brittle, nougat and marshmallow. The finish is soft, mild and full.
