The Pogues Irish Whiskey (70cl, 40%)

The Pogues Irish Whiskey is a blend developed together with the band The Pogues and presented in a black bottle. West Cork Distillers made and blended it. Half of the blend is ten-year-old single malt from sherry casks. The other half is grain whiskey of five to seven years from first-use bourbon casks. The two differently matured parts are married together, and the bottling is 40% in a 70cl bottle. The nose offers malt and barley with honey, fruit and oak, plus herbs, flowers, citrus, pepper, walnuts, roasted almonds and dark chocolate. The palate is soft, with toasted notes, honey, apple and hazelnut. The finish is round and long, with malt lingering.
