The Pogues Single Malt Irish Whiskey is a 40% single malt, distilled at the West Cork distillery, as the original Pogues whiskey was. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
It has been aged in Bourbon oak casks.
The nose is slightly savoury with a hint of Parma violets, alongside toasted seeds, caramel brittle and chocolate-covered peanuts. On the palate, a little woody spice and cinnamon lead into chocolate-covered peanuts, sesame snaps, nougat and marshmallows. The finish is mellow, with some depth to it.
