The Shin 10 Year Old is a Japanese whisky from the Shin Pure Malt range, in a 70cl bottle at 48% ABV. The name reflects the Samurai value of integrity. Mizunara oak shapes its character, bringing woody flavour and the incense of sandalwood, balanced against a bold, aged maltiness. It is fruit-forward, with a little pepper and spice in the aftertaste. The nose is sweet, with dark dried fruit such as raisins and dates, and a touch of vanilla. On the palate, sweet vanilla and dried fruit lead into sandalwood and oriental spices.
