This is a 15-year-old Japanese malt whisky from the Shinobu Distillery, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. Master blender Ken Usami selects the malts and finishes them in casks made from Japanese Mizunara oak. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The name Shin stands for integrity, one of the core principles of Samurai tradition. The nose is marked by Mizunara oak, dark ripe fruit such as blueberry, and cinnamon. The palate is sweet and malty with sandalwood-like wood and a range of spices, leading to a peppery, spicy finish.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
