The Shin Pure Malt Mizunara Oak is a Japanese malt whisky at 48% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The name Shin refers to integrity, a core value of the Samurai tradition. It balances the woody character and sandalwood incense of Mizunara oak with a bold, aged maltiness, giving a fruit-forward whisky with a peppery, spicy aftertaste. The nose is smooth malt with sweet spices, a hint of hazelnut and a woody note. On the palate, sweet vanilla and sandalwood come with a touch of spice.
