This is a 10 year old Japanese whisky from The Shinobu, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is a blend of whiskies selected from different distilleries. They were first held in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks, then finished in Japanese Mizunara oak. The nose offers candied orange peel, toffee and toasted hazelnut, followed by a distinctive spice note. The palate is mellow and sweet, with a hint of pepper and spice that gives balance and body.
