This is the first single malt from the Shinobu Distillery in Japan, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is a small batch of 3,000 bottles.
The whisky was aged for more than three years in first-fill bourbon barrels and finished in Mizunara oak.
The nose offers vanilla and chocolate with a hint of passion fruit and the aroma of Mizunara oak. The palate is smoothly sweet, with spice, vanilla and citrus, followed by a gentle oak smokiness. The finish is medium in sweetness and woody, with a subtle bitterness.
