An Irish single malt from The Whistler, made from 100% malted barley and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was first matured in ex-bourbon casks, then finished for 9 months in ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
The nose is a sherried one, with dried berries, raisins, cherries and sultanas, plus candied orange and demerara sugar. The palate opens with wood, then shows a viscous yet crisp texture with walnut, zesty citrus and a hint of leather. The finish is long and dry, with walnut, dried fruit, a little wood prickle and a hint of dark chocolate.
