Thin Lizzy Irish Whiskey (70cl, 40%)

This is a blended Irish whiskey made with the band Thin Lizzy, in a 70cl bottle. It combines triple-distilled grain and malt whiskeys that first matured in ex-bourbon casks and were then finished in double-charred American oak. It is bottled at 40%, non-chill-filtered and with no added colouring. Scott Gorham and Brian Downey worked on it in Skibbereen with Philip Lynott's wife Caroline and his daughters Sarah and Cathleen, together with the head distiller of West Cork Distillers. The label was designed by the Dublin artist Jim Fitzpatrick, who created many Thin Lizzy album covers. The nose is sweet vanilla with malt. The palate has pronounced vanilla sweetness and a light touch of smoke. Vanilla and malt linger in a long finish, with a fine hint of smoke.
