Thompson Bros. Highland Single Malt Moscatel Casks Finish 16 Year Old (45.1%)

A 16 year old Highland single malt from Thompson Bros. of Dornoch, this is a mystery malt from the Highlands. It spent its final six years in Moscatel casks from the Iberian Peninsula. It was bottled in July 2026 at 45.1% ABV, without added colour and non-chill-filtered. The label carries an illustration of a sardine, and the bottler suggests pairing the malt with a good tin of sardines in tomato sauce. Orange and honey come through in the glass.
