Timorous Beastie is a blended malt from Douglas Laing's Regional Malts, bottled at 46.8% in a 70cl bottle. It is named after the field mouse in Robert Burns' poem 'To a Mouse', though this whisky is described as not one for the fainthearted.
It brings together Highland single malts, including Blair Athol, Dalmore, Glengoyne and Glen Garioch, and is matured in bourbon casks. The result is a sweet, vanilla-led, sugary style.
The flavours are given as vanilla, malted barley, meringue, honey and citrus.
