Timorous Beasties Finest Old Particular is a Highlands single malt from Douglas Laing's Old Particular range, bottled from a single cask. The distillery is not named, and the label plays on the timid mouse of Scottish poetry. It was distilled in May 2018 and matured for around five years in a refill barrel before bottling in October 2023, which produced 459 bottles at 48.4% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. On the palate it begins with sweetness, gentle spice and malt, the spice building a little alongside barley and syrup. The finish brings honeycomb and creamy grain.
