Togouchi Beer Cask Finish is a Japanese blended whisky at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is finished in oak barrels that first held rum from Martinique and were then used for IPA beer in France.
The finish brings together a hop freshness and bitterness from the beer, honey from the rum and a sweetness like roasted apples from the wood. The colour is light golden.
The nose is youthful, with a slight peat note, sweet honey, nuts and corn flakes. The palate is light and mild, with grain and honey sweetness, and a faintly peaty finish.
