Toki Suntory Japanese Blended Whisky (43%)

Toki is a Japanese blended whisky, bottled at 43%. It brings together whiskies from three distilleries: Chita, Hakushu and Yamazaki. The blend gives the main roles to Hakushu malt and Chita grain, with Yamazaki adding depth. The name means time in Japanese. It is made to be drunk neat or in a highball. On the nose there are green apples, thyme honey, basil and a little peppermint. The palate is silky, with green apple, pink grapefruit, green grapes, toasted almonds and bitter herbs. The finish brings vanilla oak sweetness, then white pepper and ginger.
