Tullamore D.E.W. 12 Year Old Special Reserve is a triple-distilled Irish whiskey from Tullamore Distillery in County Offaly, matured for 12 years in oak casks. The brand dates its first distillation to 1829, and its name comes from the initials of an early owner, Daniel E. Williams.
It is bottled in a 75cl size.
The nose opens with spice, red wine and nuttiness, with a light woody note. The palate is deep and spicy, robust yet creamy, with chocolate, dried fruit and nuts in a praline vein. The finish is long and rich, with citrus, chocolate, raisins and marzipan.
