Tullamore Dew (175cl, 40%)

Tullamore Dew is a triple-distilled Irish blended whiskey from Tullamore in County Offaly, bottled at 40% ABV in a 1.75 litre bottle. It won Gold Medals at the International Spirits Challenge 2020 and the World Whiskies Awards 2019. The blend combines grain whiskey, single malt and pot still whiskey, each triple distilled and matured in ex-bourbon barrels, ex-sherry casks and refill casks. The name comes from Daniel E. Williams, a distillery manager in the late 19th century. The nose has citrus zest, green apple, toffee and gentle vanilla. The palate is fresh and fruity, with lemon, light spice, toasted wood and buttery malt. The finish is medium, with marzipan, vanilla and a trace of lemon peel.
