Tullamore Dew 12 Year is a triple-distilled Irish blend of pot still, malt and grain whiskeys, bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle. The whiskeys are matured for a minimum of 12 years in a mix of ex-bourbon barrels and oloroso sherry casks.
The blend carries a higher proportion of pot still and malt whiskey relative to grain, which gives it a richer character than the standard Tullamore D.E.W.
The nose brings spice, warm vanilla and baked apple, with toasted oak and sherry sweetness. On the palate come honeyed malt, dark chocolate, dried fruit and praline. The finish is long and creamy, with caramel, almond and soft baking spice.
