Tullamore Dew Caribbean Rum Cask is a triple-distilled Irish whiskey blend of pot still, malt and grain whiskeys, bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle.
After blending, it is finished in first fill XO casks that previously held Demerara rum from the Caribbean. The casks had not held whiskey before. It won a Silver Medal at the IWSC.
Vanilla and toasted oak on the nose give way to citrus zest and ripe banana. The palate is creamy, with caramel, banana, caramelised pineapple and brown sugar, then dates and raisins with a gentle rum spice. The finish is medium, with orange peel, caramel and aromatic spice.
